The program was requested in Mid-June by stakeholders. It was presented to the team by the end of July and was officially released to the first employee on August 30th. Since then, I worked alongside Sales Operations in its implementation and expansion via presentations to Media Leadership, Sales Engineering, and the Digital Marketing Sales team.
The program has since been adapted for an LMS (LearnUpon) with corresponding videos, results tracking, and is now used as the core foundation to Brightcove’s Global Sales Onboarding Program.
This Onboarding Structure will provide the new employee with a platform to meet peers, establish key relationships and provide a multifaceted training curriculum. New Employees will have a better experience in their first weeks with Brightcove as they are provided better direction with deeper and broader trainings and knowledge-sharing.
This platform should provide the new employee with a process to ramp in their role more quickly, while providing them a platform and opportunity to meet more coworkers and develop potential mentor relationships. The pairing of structured curriculum with named SMEs will allow the new employees to ask questions as they are going through the program.
The onboarding process will provide the new employee with opportunities to express themselves with others, while providing a good mix of self study curriculum. Each new employee onboarding outline will be customized specifically for the employee’s position and needs. Each employee will be assigned a Sales Ops Enablement Rep, a HR specialist, and a team mentor that will help the employee navigate through the outline and curriculum and ensure the whole experience greatly improves the new-hire process and helps the employee ramps as quickly as possible.
Upon completion of your eight week onboarding program, each new employee will present the content, skills and product knowledge they have learned. We would like for each employee onboarded to provide feedback on your onboarding experience. This 30 minute overview will allow us to assess the depth of your trainings and evaluate ways we can improve this program for later new hires.
