Who is responsible

This is Angelica Silva’s personal website. Angelica is responsible for the information you share with her through her book reader list, newsletter, or direct correspondence. This notice explains those uses and the services used to run the website.

The For Life reader list

The book signup opens the For Life reader list on Kit, the same list used by the book’s QR code. Your email address and any other information you choose to provide are submitted directly to Kit, rather than to a form or database on this website.

Your details are used to send the book updates you request, including launch news, on the basis of your consent. You can unsubscribe using the link in any email. This list is separate from the Substack newsletter.

Subscriber information is kept while you remain subscribed. A limited record of an unsubscribe request may be retained to respect that choice. Kit’s own account, security, and retention practices are explained in the Kit privacy policy.

I’ve been Wandering on Substack

The separate Substack signup is for I’ve been Wandering. The embedded form is not loaded until you choose to open it. Opening it connects your browser to Substack, which may receive device and connection information and use its own cookies or similar technologies.

If you subscribe, Substack receives your email address and provides subscriber information to Angelica so she can send the newsletter you requested. Subscription is based on your consent, and you can unsubscribe from any newsletter email. Subscriber information is kept while you remain subscribed, with a limited unsubscribe record where needed to respect your choice.

Optional website analytics

Optional website analytics are not currently enabled. If Cloudflare Web Analytics is enabled, it will load only after you choose “Allow analytics” and will be used to understand visits and page performance.

Email addresses and newsletter form entries are not sent to analytics. No custom subscriber or advertising events are collected. Cloudflare does not log URL query strings; automatic tracking of changes between sections is disabled.

Analytics consent is stored in your browser as a yes/no preference until you change it or clear your browser storage. This preference is used only to remember your choice. You can decline analytics and still use the website and newsletters.

Cloudflare provides reports for the previous six months. Its network receives a connection IP address to deliver the service; Cloudflare states that the Web Analytics service discards it at its nearest data centre. Read Cloudflare’s privacy policy and its analytics privacy information.

Hosting and external links

The website is hosted by Vercel. Hosting services process technical information such as IP addresses, requested pages, and browser information to deliver and secure the website. This supports the legitimate interest in maintaining a working, secure website. Vercel manages its service logs under its privacy policy.

Links to Instagram, LinkedIn, the publisher, radio recordings, and other websites take you to services with their own privacy practices. Social media feeds are not embedded on this website. Kit, Substack, Cloudflare, and Vercel may process information internationally; their policies explain the safeguards they use.

Contact and your choices

For questions about information you have shared with Angelica, contact her through LinkedIn. You can also reply to an email from the reader list or newsletter. Correspondence is used to respond to your request and kept only as long as needed to deal with it.

Depending on the circumstances, you can ask for access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, ask to restrict its use, object to processing, or request a copy in a portable format. You can withdraw newsletter or analytics consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect processing that already took place.

If you have a concern that remains unresolved, you can contact the UK Information Commissioner’s Office. This notice will be updated if the website’s services or data practices change.
